What began as a weekend and late night hobby in Sammy’s kitchen has grown into a full-fledged online bakery, built on friendship, late nights, espresso and lots of Sprinkles. Sammy started baking custom cakes and sweet treats for friends and family, always with one goal: to make people feel special. Sammy’s creations quickly became more than just dessert; they became part of a moment.
What was once a side hobby, now She’s ready to take that next step into running a business. Sammy is set to launch Sammy Sweets, as an online bakery dedicated to crafting custom cakes and baked goods that bring joy to doorsteps in the tri-state area, in Late 2025. Each order will be made fresh, with real ingredients and real care, no shortcuts, no generic templates.
At Sammy Sweets, she believes the best desserts come with a personal touch. That’s why she bakes to order, designs by hand, and always sprinkle in a little extra love. Sammy is here to Sweeten Every Bite.
This past few weeks I have taken time to understand Sammy’s brand and what that is going to look like going forward, starting with a new color scheme and logo design.
Before 2025, she used the color baby blue and a pastel pink. As much as those colors really do fit into the demographic, it is overused and can come across and tacky.
What I turned it into was this changeable but distinctive feature. Clean lines and Simple will make the cake stand out. As for the colors, the main ones will now be a plum purple and a lemon/gold yellow. In a way the colors compliment each other.
With all that has been decided, now it’s time to put those logos to use starting with business cards. Once again simple and elegant but also stands out in a lot of ways as well.
This comes across and simple, calm and fun… all things a brand needs to building a strong community base to help grow the business.
Next thing I created was the stationary and letterhead. I incorporated different versions of the logo and added framing to the pages to allow the eye to really be drawn into the logo itself.
In addition, I added in the cake in the background with the opacity turned down to have a commanding and wise presence over the sheet.
Next thing I did was design the takeout box. I wanted to make it special, so the shape has a handle on it creating this little school girl lunch box. The audience might feel more calm and relaxed because of this.

I added the cake part of the logo to the handle as well to once again stand out in a sea of white, black , and brown plain boxes. It adds a creative and fun flare without being to much in your face.
But I know this is what you have all been waiting for…
